Consider

sage: P = PolynomialRing(QQ,10,'x')
sage: I = sage.rings.ideal.Katsura(P)
sage: I.groebner_basis() # forever!

Ctrl-C does not interrupt nor kill the Singular process doing the hard work. The attached patch fixes that.
